About The Program

The Swami Dayanand Education Foundation (SDEF) has launched the Swami Dayanand Merit-cum-Means Scholarship 2024–25 to assist students pursuing professional degrees in fields like engineering, medicine, architecture, etc. also, other undergrad programs at government or confidential establishments in India. The target of SDEF is to help extraordinarily skilled understudies confronting monetary limitations, empowering them to seek after and complete their advanced degree. To continue their higher education, selected candidates will receive up to 50,000 per year or 2,00,000 over the course of their degree.

Swami Dayanand Education Foundation, initiated by Mr. Ashutosh Garg and its founder trustees in 2015, was founded with a noble mission to offer scholarships to college students in India and the United States. Since its establishment, the foundation has been dedicated to making a quality college education attainable and within reach for all deserving students, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Eligibility

To be Eligible an Applicant Must:-

• be 19 years of age for first-year and 20 years of age for second-year
• be pursuing undergraduate degrees in professional fields like Engineering, Medical, and Architecture, as well as other undergraduate programmes
• have studied at government or government-aided schools
• fulfill the below-mentioned academic requirements:

1. Freshers (1st year): minimum 80% in CBSE or 70% in other boards for Class 12
2. Continuing Students (2nd year): CGPA of at least 8.0

• have an annual family income of less than ₹8,00,000

Note:- Only first and second-year undergraduate students are eligible. A maximum of one gap year is allowed for technical courses only.

Benefits

The scholarship fund allocation for various categories of students and courses is given below:

All non-technical courses such as B.A./B.Sc./B.Com (for female students only)	₹10,000 per annum	Up to program completion

Note:- The scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the bank accounts of the respective educational institutions.

• Government-issued ID card such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, etc.) – Please provide one.

• Academic Transcripts:
• Class 10 and 12 marksheets/certificates
• Marksheets for all semesters/term-wise scores (if applicable)

• Admission Documents:
• Seat Allotment Letter (if applicable)
• Copy of Fee Receipts (if applicable)

Video Requirement

• A short video introduction and brief of academic background.
• A short video with parent(s) discussing the family’s financial situation and housing. 
• A short video explaining your understanding of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. Video recording of applicant reciting the full six stanzas of Vande Mataram.

Financial Documents

• Copy of Education Loan (if applicable)
• Family Income Proof (choose one):

1. Salary Certificate/Salary Slip (for the last 3 months)
2. Income Tax Return Form
3. Pension Copy (if applicable)

Residential Proof (any one)

• Utility Bills (Electricity, Gas, Telephone, Water) for the last six months (in applicant’s name or parent(s) name)
• Bank Statement for the last one year (in applicant’s name or parent(s) name

Additional Documents (if applicable)

• Agricultural land documents/Pictures of the Shop (if applicable)
• Self-declaration (as per proforma given in the application form)
• House Pictures – Inside and Outside (4 photos) & Family Photograph
• Academic Excellence Certificates/Awards (if any)
