The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme has been piloted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for the nation’s youth. PM Internship Scheme Eligibility
Applicants for the internship programme must have completed their higher secondary education or high school, as well as have a certificate from an ITI, a diploma from a Polytechnic Institute, or a degree such as a BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, or BPharma. Candidates should be between 21 and 24 years old as of the application deadline.
Candidates must be Indian and not attend school or work full-time to be eligible. If applicants are enrolled in online or distance learning courses, they may apply.
PM Internship Scheme Offerings
Candidates will receive Rs 5,000 per month as assistants for the entire 12-month internship. Each intern will receive Rs 500 from the company’s CSR funding, while the government will contribute Rs 4500.
In addition to the monthly stipend, applicants will receive a one-time financial support of Rs 6,000 to cover incidental costs. Additionally, the government will ensure that interns are insured with the government paying the premiums through programs like the PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and the PM Suraksha Bima Yojana.
PM Internship: Which businesses are involved in the scheme?
The companies that took part in the program were chosen based on how much money they spent on CSR over the past three years. If the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) gives its approval, more banks and financial institutions may choose to participate in the program.
Participation, on the other hand, is entirely voluntary. Work with vendors, customers, or other value chain partners to create opportunities for businesses that are unable to offer internships internally.
Several businesses are highlighted on the official portal, including Adani, HP, Tata Steel, Cognizant, Vedanta, Lanco, Kotak, Microsoft, and Pataka.

Step 3: Select the “Submit” button after entering the information about your registration and the required documents. A student can apply to at least five opportunities based on their preferences.
